From styling to cutting and hair colour, the CL Salon team have over 12 years of industry experience. Providing hair services is a rather intimate process between stylist and client. For this reason, the entire team is committed to fostering long standing relationships with clients and ensuring that all who walk through the door are comfortable, happy, and feel taken care of.
CL Salon founders Amanda Li and Edison Chan are passionate about everything to do with hair. The personal dedication they show to continuously enhance their salon’s customer service is apparent as soon as you walk in.

Amanda Li
Through many years of practice, Amanda has been able to truly perfect her art. A creative hair stylist fuelled by an unwavering passion and a high degree of knowledge, Amanda made her entrance into the hair industry while she was enrolled in a high school co-op program. She enjoys having the creative freedom to change people’s look and hair drastically. Plus, doing hair provides her with a great opportunity to make new friends!
Jared
Jared, a Red Seal certified hairstylist, started his training and apprenticeship back in 2016. Having developed a strong interest in hair since his high school days, he loves big transformations and finds it very rewarding to make people feel beautiful. He loves doing highlights, colour corrections, and wild fashion colours on clients! If you want something that is bold and stands out, he’s your stylist!
Sam
Sam is a seasoned hair professional with over 14 years in the industry. He completed his Hair Design studies at Sassoon College in the UK and instantly fell in love with the hair industry. He loves being able to engage himself in a creative activity where he can conceptualize the right hairstyle for his clients. His specialty is quick problem solving and you’ll always see him lending a hand to his colleagues at CL Salon. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and he has hopes to travel the world!
Rachel
When her peers were going to University, Rachel felt as if that wasn’t her path. She enjoyed hands-on work and, after some thinking, enrolled in hair school. It was one of the greatest decisions of her life. Inspired by Guy Tang’s work, she works persistently to extend her knowledge and perfect her art. She’s a balayage and ombre colour specialist and really enjoys nice long chats with her clients. Love anime? Well, so does Rachel!
Karson
Since Karson was a young teenager, he had aspirations to be a hairstylist. Knowing this passion, he started hairstyling courses while he was still in high school and has been working at high traffic salons in the city since 2006. He loves cutting hair as it allows him to create unique looks that complement each client’s distinctive facial features. He also enjoys doing highlights and men’s perms. Outside of work, Karson enjoys riding his motorcycle and driving his car around the city (and on the track).
Bella
With a strong interest in fashion, Bella’s speciality in hair can be summarized as: bobs, blondes, and bold colours. Friendly and outgoing, Bella loves to explore new restaurants and bars in the city and really enjoys meeting new people. Bella finds working in the hair industry highly rewarding. “I love helping people restore their confidence by enhancing and refreshing their look”, she says.
Samantha
Having been good at working with her hands her entire life, she decided to give hair styling a chance. Samantha previously worked with costume wigs and that is what started her passion for hair. Her specialty is highlights but she is highly well rounded and skilled. Outside of work, she enjoys making jewelry and sewing. She also has a strong interest in nutrition and had weight-trained for over 10 years!
